Barbara Ann Corcoran
Barbara Ann Corcoran was born on March 10 1949. She is an American investor, speaker and consultant. The Corcoran Group is a New York City-based real-estate brokerage. In 2001, the company was transferred to NRT at $66 million. Corcoran resigned from the company shortly after. Corcoran was a participant in 12 of ABC's Shark Tank seasons. As of February 2020 she had signed 53 deals. The largest of these was a $350,000 investment to Coverplay at 40 percent. Corcoran was second child in a family of 10 children who was born in Edgewater. Florence Corcoran was Florence's mother and a homemaker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. was her father. He was constantly changing jobs throughout Corcoran's entire life. At times, her family relied on the delivery of food for free from a local grocer. Corcoran remembers her father as a drunkard who sometimes treated her mother with disrespect and disrespect, particularly after he had been drinking. Corcoran struggled at school and later learned that she was dyslexic. Corcoran was educated in an Catholic elementary and then started high school in Englewood at St. Cecilia High School. After flunking several courses during her first year of high school, Corcoran transferred to Leonia High School, where she graduated as a D student.
